Sleeping Beauties is a collaborative project on domestic violence. A denunciation as well as a tribute to all women killed by their couples or ex couples since 2001 in Spain, Sleeping Beauties honors those women who never will wake up and remember us, we can´t forget the tragedy of their murders.


This project consists in involve the society to create actions, ceremonies or homages, based on self-adhesive posters showing a drawing of a bed with a pillow inscribed with a number asigned for a morder victim as well as the date and the motive of her death. There are 433 self adhesive posters: the reported number of deaths from 2001 to 2007*.

How to participate:
1. e-mail me your postal address: [email protected],
so I can mail you the sticker
2. After receiving the sticker, document the ceremony, tribute or action (using the sticker.)
3. e.mail your photographic documentation to [email protected]
